Lasermax Roll Systems will show in-line page finishing solution for HP Indigo Digital Presses at Dscoop6
Kissimmee, FL (February 17, 2011) – Lasermax Roll Systems will demonstrate new solutions for the HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press and HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press at Dscoop6 — PageReady™, a fully automatic cutter/slitter/merger/stacker, providing an in-line page finishing connection to the HP Indigo Digital Press and FinishReady™ Controller, a central interface using JDF to facilitate the automatic set-up, control and monitoring of in-line or near-line finishing devices in close harmony with the HP Indigo Digital Press. At Dscoop6, PageReady and FinishReady Controller are being demonstrated in the HP booth #114 operating in-line with the new HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press.
“We’re very excited to be exhibiting at Dscoop for the first time,” says Bill Carroll, president and CEO of Lasermax Roll Systems. “And we’re also very excited about the solid benefits PageReady will bring to an HP Indigo 7500 digital printing operation, making in-line finishing possible with its resulting reductions in throughput time, make-ready waste, and labor requirements.”
Lasermax Roll’s PageReady system is capable of operating at full press speed in-line or near-line with the HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press and HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press. It fully automates the process of cutting, trimming, collating, and stacking, to convert multiple image press sheets into smaller professionally finished pages without the demand for guillotine cutters. Pages are stacked with offsets for easy job separations and delivered nonstop to a conveyor table making it an ideal solution for the efficient production of postcards, direct mail, brochures, photo books, greeting cards, calendars, and more.
Lasermax Roll is working with leading finishing and binding vendors to integrate and qualify additional in-line finishing solutions for PageReady and the HP Indigo 7000 and 7500-model presses. This will expand the benefits of a streamlined workflow to perfect binders, saddle-stitchers, and other devices. Lasermax Roll’s FinishReady Controller manages JDF job information from HP’s Universal Finishing Interface to maintain end-to-end control of the entire line. FinishReady manages and tracks the status of every page through each finishing step confirming absolute document integrity. New settings are precisely automated via JDF, eliminating make‐ready waste and potential human errors.
“The HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press is now integrally bridged with both in‐line and near‐line finishing process via the FinishReady Controller,” said Carroll. “This brings unprecedented control to our customers’ workflows resulting in faster turnaround times, improved quality, and consequently lower overall production costs.”
The PageReady system and FinishReady Controller are scheduled to be available in July 2011.
