Cutter c23 for Double Cuts Now Available
Chicago, IL (September 8, 2013) – Lasermax Roll Systems announces the availability of the Cutter c23 at Print 13. The Cutter c23 offers users of continuous color inkjet production printers a double-cutting capability, to permit removal of flush-lines from color inkjet output as well as to process bleed applications.
The Cutter c23 has dual rotary knives to sheet the web using single cut or variable double strip cut, supporting removal of strips in lengths from 1/8” to 3/4”, over a basis weight range from 15# bond to 135# offset (55 – 200 gsm). With the cutter’s intelligent document integrity control feature, non-data or waste pages are automatically recognized; the user chooses to divert these to the cutter’s internal waste bin or to separate the full-sized waste pages on the delivery conveyor. The Cutter c23 automatically maintains registration to the first printed page so no live print pages are wasted.
The Cutter c23 is compatible with color inkjet printers running up to 500 fpm. A gutter cut option is also available on the Cutter c23, to complete the processing of a two-up or three-up bleed application.
LasermaxRoll shows the double-cutting Cutter c23 in its booth #538 at Print 13, as well as in Canon booth 502 where it’s being shown in-line with the Océ ColorStream® 3900. The Cutter c23 is being exhibited as part of the Stack 2320 cutting/stacking system for high speed continuous digital printers. Stack 2320, with added Unwinder 550 and Stacker s20 modules, features Smooth-Web technology for reliable operation, with all motors synchronized throughout the finishing line.
