Cutter c23 Featured Among Numerous New LasermaxRoll Products at Print 13

Billerica, MA (September 4, 2013) – The newly available Cutter c23 is one of multiple new feeding/finishing solutions for digital print unveiled by Lasermax Roll Systems at this year’s Print 13 exhibition in Chicago, September 8 – 12. In addition to the Cutter c23, LasermaxRoll offers a technology demonstration of the Zero Speed Splicer u40, shows for the first time the new Tecnau TC 1550 PLUS dynamic perforator, exhibits the new off-line PageReady(tm) OL cutting/merging system for sheet-fed printer output, and announces newly available configurations for its proven WebVision(tm) quality monitoring system.

LasermaxRoll shows the double-cutting Cutter c23 in its booth #538 at Print 13, as part of the Stack 2320 cutting/stacking system for high speed continuous digital printers. Cutter c23 offers double-cutting capability to permit removal of flush-lines from color inkjet printer output as well as to process bleed applications. Cutter c23 performs double cuts over a range of strip lengths at speeds up to 500 feet per minute. Stack 2320, with added Unwinder 550 and Stacker s20 modules, features Smooth-Web technology for reliable operation (with all motors synchronized throughout the finishing line) and user-selectable alternatives for the white paper removal required for operation with color inkjet printers.

Also shown on the Stack 2320 line in the LasermaxRoll booth is the new TC 1550 PLUS 1 dynamic perforator. The TC 1550 PLUS employs a new dual blade per shaft technology to offer a decreased minimum repeat distance between consecutive horizontal perforations, down from 6″ to 3.5″ at 500 fpm, enabling users to run a broader range of applications. Models incorporating multiple perforation shafts, each equipped with the dual blade feature, offer even higher levels of performance. The TC 1550 PLUS operates at up to 600 fpm.

While showing the established WebVision EXspect stand-alone module, LasermaxRoll is announcing additional hardware and software configuration alternatives for its WebVision quality monitoring system at Print 13. WebVision INspect offers alternate hardware configurations, installing internal to the printer or to certain LasermaxRoll finishing modules, yielding a reduced footprint and reduced purchase expense. In addition, WebVision is now available with several alternate software packages to best match customer requirements.

Rounding out the LasermaxRoll booth is the PageReady OL off-line page finishing system for multi-up output from sheet-fed digital presses. PageReady OL reduces manual print handling and consolidates labor intensive finishing operations into a single, efficient process, cutting, trimming and merging 1-up to 8-up imposed sheets of up to 13″ x 19″ in size into finished page stacks. PageReady OL reads a 2D Datamatrix or barcode to provide automated job set-up and changeovers.

“Lasermax Roll Systems is excited to bring a variety of new and innovative solutions for digital printers to Print 13, and ultimately to digital printer users around the world,” commented Giuliano De Marco, chairman of Lasermax Roll Systems. ”We believe that the Print 13 audience will see ample evidence that LasermaxRoll is indeed the essential partner to print.”

Among other LasermaxRoll exhibition locations around the show floor, the LasermaxRoll Zero Speed Splicer u40 is being shown in a technology demonstration feeding an InfoPrint® 5000 in the Ricoh booth (#1931). Zero Speed Splicer u40 allows roll changes with virtually no printer downtime, maximizing printer productivity and eliminating paper waste associated with printer stoppages due to roll depletion. The LasermaxRoll Stack 2020 provides a cutting/stacking solution for InfoPrint 5000 output, while a Rewinder 555 provides an alternate output path.

In the Canon booth (#502), a Stack 2320 system featuring a second showing of the LasermaxRoll Cutter c23 provides double cutting and stacking of a wide variety of applications run by the Océ ColorStream® 3900, and again a Rewinder 555 rewinds output in roll form.

In the Xerox booth (#1202), the LasermaxRoll Stack 2020 and Rewinder 555 operate in-line with Xerox’s new Impika iPrint Compact digital printing system.

Finally, multiple LasermaxRoll Unwinders and Tecnau cutters will be exhibited in the Bell + Howell booth (#2614).
